We went, we drank and some of us got up in the morning!!!!!

Hi all, just though I would post a couple of pics of a great weekend with Dave, Mark and Richard. The first pic is why you should never take your kids to these kind of things and the second pic, does anyone know this lost sole? The third pic is of Dave's next project and the last pic is Dave any myself next to the truck trying to look cool.

Many thanks to all who took the time to chat and as always it was a great weekend apart from the cramped conditions and they could of heated the lake before we got there.

Look forward to seeing everyone else's pics.

Mark

the second pic, does anyone know this lost sole?

Mark

Yes I do.

This guy is a very decent chap who happened to mention that the Mrs had asked him to go and live in the attic of a shapely landlady. He was therefore poisoned with alcohol on the friday night and left to rot in his tent until Sunday morning when he woke up to find his other three 'mates' had ridden off home and left him all alone to wallow in his misery... :upyou

Bastids!!! :tears

Glad to hear that you got back ok Rich, I spoke to Mark last night and he made it back as well all the way to Jersey so that was a good show what oh.

Wont be needing that room just yet as I got back in perfect time just when she blocked the sink so was more than happy to see me.

Catch up soon my friend.

Archie and Myself - Mick - had a wonderful time at this event
never seen so much bloody sand I still ache all over with the effort I had to use
Getting better at riding it - or I think I am - Archie,s third gear thrash down through 6 inch deep sand for 3 kms down a trail was an eye opener for me - and on road tyres on a r100PD that was deffo too good to drop or risk dropping
Highlights = all the event - the food was incredible and all for less than a ton for the tree days with tuition free on and off tarmac
never been to any event as good for the money - the venue was outstanding
even won a hat in the raffle :bounce1

brill even got sunburnt :thumb2
going for another soak in the bath :rob

It's one of the best GS events ever and that venue (if it's near Eindhoven) is superb, I went in 2007 and enjoyed it:thumb

love at the int gs rally

knowing his ungentlemanly advances, would recieve a sharp rebuff ,from a certain shapley lanlady, rich looks for love closer to home and finds it at the ,gs rallyrich and mark.jpg

I also had a really really good time! :D

First time 'offroad' with my R1100GS and it was scary but fun! Don't think I'll ever get to love the real sand with this 1100, but I think some day I'll buy myself a 650 or something like that, because I did enjoy it!

But until that moment I prefer the less sandy roads! :P

As the day wore on it only got better and better....!!!:flag

The event was excellent and the Dutch GSer's Team did themselves proud. It is the second time I have been to the Experience Island location and it was just perfect for this event. The weather was brill the tents were warm and the beer was good...actually so was the ice cream.....!! The convivial atmosphere promoted by the Dutch Team made everyone feel very welcome.

Thanks to the organisers for a great time!!!!

I'm sure Mick and I will look forward to another good event in the future.

Different venue Johnnie and even better than the one at Valburg/Valkenburg in '07 (depending on who you ask and how many Duvels you've had :augie )

The whole place reminded me most of the Zebra Bar in Senegal, the weather really made it ;)

We echo all that's been said above, bloody marvelous!!
I rode my 1100 in sand I'd only regarded with fear previously AND I got to test ride one of those funny diesel powered cement mixer/ADV tourer things as well. Quite liked it after a few minutes...

LOL, keep practicing Mick, as you can clearly see on the pictures you tend to look downwards a lot, instead of where you`re going. Your Tutor :rob
