Introduction

Ok, been lurking a week or 3 getting a feel for the forum and its sense of humour
So thought I`d best do the intro thing, have a WC TE on order for September , am currently on r1200rt and doing a tour of Pyrenees early Aug and promised the other half I would`nt change bike before then.
Test rode the Gs last Friday (Vines Guildford) and was suitably impressed , enough to place an order
They had an offer on over the weekend with free panniers or sat nav so I took the panniers and managed a bit of a deal on the sat nav as well
My names Tony by the way and as a displaced Yorkshire man I have a thick skin , may come in handy on here!!

I just hope that it isn't less reliable than my 1150 was....

I get my LC on the 1st July that is, I've had a thick skin since I got my 1150gs over 10 years ago...

Are you completely mad. Why on earth would you buy a toilet? For a start they are far too powerful for anyone but a TT rider to handle. And if you are a TT rider a Multistrada has more power.

They have a tricky Fly By Wire throttle that has a millionth of a microsecond delay that you can't feel but it still irritates as its clearly supernatural.

The bike has plastic parts! Eeek! Nuff said!

And some idiot has decided to cool the engine with Liquid! Which means it needs radiators. Which don't seem to warm up the rider at all. Which is useless.

And modes..... Don't get me started on modes. What's the point of having a spanner set when you can adjust the suspenders at the press of a button.

Nah mate, what you need is an old 1150. A man's bike. Made from girders.

Had a bit of plastic grafted onto my vertebra about 25 yrs ago, if I lean to the left on a cold morning it makes a noise similar to Eeek!! Big improvement on the original disk tho

I agree about radiators, got 9 of the bastards in my house and they have exactly the same effect, don`t warm the place up at all, just ask the wife.
