Good to meet again with those we have met before and to meet new people. Dave-T you have to be mad to have travelled all that way just for a day out.

We made it back to Calne safely a little after seven, with only a couple of idiots to deal with.

Chris iow, hope your bike is ok. I hadn't realised just how much heavier the 1150ADV is compared to the 1200 Thats probably because I've only had to pick up a 1200, Err! six times now

Only a small 241 miles for the day....I suppose it's nothing compared to what you travelled DT...Your mad...

Really sorry i missed it, the electrics failed at home ( i was kind of expecting it)
So i ended up rewireing half the boat saturday night and all day sunday

TBH a day on the bike would have been far nicer.

I look forward to the next day out there, I used to go there for a fair few weekends a year a few years back so it will be nice to see the place again

Hi Guys,
Sorry Im late with my post. I couldnt get on the net as we had no electric. Power cut, only my street of coarse.
What a lovely day. Thanks to Chris and Erica for the idea, and also to the Beamer couple for their guidance, and to everyone that went. I never knew that the Isle of Wight had only 60 miles of Tarmac. I was so glad to get back to the mainland as I bagan to feel yucky.Back home I found my wife in the sam e spot as when I left, minus the electric and dinner. I had to go to bed smellling like a pole cat and hungry, but I need to lose some weight as the matress is starting to bend. Anyway it was a good experience and Ill definately do it again. Wish you all the best.

Yeah, i had a good day.
Good to see you all, and will have to do it again. Maybe more towards the warmer months.
Will have to sort out a better route. Did not want to go over same roads, but over here, sometimes it cant be helped. You always end up at Coppins bridge no matter what you do.
Take Dave t over to Afton where her watched Jimmy Hendrix play his last gig.....when he was 34..Dave that is.

Someone mentioned camping. well there aer plenty of good sites, me i have a king size bed and duvet, so good luck.
Then again why not.
Sorry the car park at the Needles was locked up, did not know it would be. Maybe next time.

Evenin Sani, glad to see you are ok, I had said to nick I was concerned that you hadnt posted as so unlike you.
You probably felt a bit yucky as you did not sleep Saturday night and started your ride at 1am and had been on the go ever since!
Great to see ya again mate, as charmin as you always are, you do make me laugh
As nick has said plenty of campin facilities over here so when you are all ready we will try and sort something out, for now take care all of you and look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Forgive me for butting in on a group ride but I just wanted to say that I enjoyed meeting a few of you at Portsmouth.

Sani, I like you a lot as you make me look a normal sane guy. How anyone can get up and leave home at 1am just to be able to talk to the cleaner at portsmouth docks is beyond me - you're a great guy I hope you remembered to pick up the seat from the newsagents.

It's good to see that you all had a great day, I wish I could have come along with you and enjoyed the day out. It's even got me thinking some more about trading in my BMW K1200GT for a GS Adventure in the near future so that my KTM doesn't stand out so much!!
