Not sure about pannier proof but I have covered about 2000 miles (about 400 off-road miles) with my iPad 2 in a tank bag - no problems encountered at all. I just made sure it was in a protective case in the bottom of the tank bag. I then had a small foam pad on top of which the SLR camera and a couple of lenses sat (in closed cell foam cut-outs)

Have *not* heard of any instances of failure, ..the drive is solid state.
We've got 2 cradles plus can mount onto almost anything .. and yes, have been ask to mount on a bike, otherwise emerging use in aircraft, marine and also some vehicles (car, van) use as well.

Have 'em mounted into HS146 plane and been reported that gps is sensitive to either sun or heat, but plane does altitude atmospheric checks so cockpit position may affect it. Also 8 are being fitted onto London Eye pod capsules as an informercial unit.

That said lot of 10" android stuff coming out on the back of it as well.

Should be OK with a good amount of shake, rattle and roll. Just not very good at impact resistance.

I'll try not to sit on it then!!!

I might bring it along at the Pig Bash then, see if I can pick some brains on how it all works:thumb2 It will be a good test of the Three MIFI mobile router I plan to use on the boat.
