iPad warranty

Thats a decision that only you can make. You have almost had it a year now, have a think about how and where it gets used and have you had any close calls to damaging it. You have to ask yourself do you think you will need it then?

I have an iPhone, iPad, iPad 2 and an iPod and neither have cover on them(once the stat 1 year on the iPad 2 is over). Over the time of ownership I've had no problems on either software or hardware issues. The iPad has been dropped a few times and the iPhone (never by me :blast ) When the iPad was dropped I got a great case for it that protects it, perhaps thats all you need :nenau

On the other hand I got a new mac book air this week and took out the extra care on it but that was only because I got student discount on it through my wife so I'm sort of on the fence too :blast but leaning to the no extra care side lol

i'd be very much more inclined to get apple care on a macbook than ipad or iphone.

If damage is your main concern, check your household insurance policy. Often you can add named items like this at little or no cost. Mine covers my MacPro, iPad, etc at no cost with a £50 excess, but I had to have them listed on the policy.

For software issues, I had a misspent youth in video arcades so I sort those myself.
