Hi folks,

I'm looking for a mount to attach my iPhone 6 to my 2007 RT

I'd also like to be able to plug it in

I assume I'm looking for a RAM mount case (?) and then a USB charger for my accessory socket?

Seem to be a bewildering amount of stuff out there and I'm not sure what I need?

I have my phone inside my SW Motech day tank bag, with 12v power via tank ring.

Not exactly what you asked but easier to grab and go.

You need these, two big washers from Wilkos and a suitable screw for the Ram ball -

which all gives you this for a total of les than £20

I did a similar mod to my first mount. The square base plate covered the holes. I had one lying around doing nothing so no additional cost.

doesnt that photo show the back with holes in around the washer ? How do you keep water out?

The phone sits in a silicone rubber tray so any moisture drains out the bootom before getting anywhere near it. If one wanted it would be easy to use a larger washer or stick a bit of black duct tape on first

If you have suitable round bars you can omit the RAM mount and use the supplied fixture - like this

Thanks all - I managed to pick up a Bicycle iPhone mount/case for about £20 from Halfords.

Wedged a spare bracket I found lying around between the bar bottoms and risers and then wrapped an off-cut of neorpene around it for the case clamp to grip to.

Perfect!

I use one of these and transfer it to each of my bikes when I need to.

I've been really pleased with it. Perfectly waterproof (tested in bad rain for extended periods)

Clips and locks on to a RAM ball mount via a bayonet action clipping mechanism. I'd get another one if I were to choose again.
