iPhone or iPod mount for GSA?

check this out....

Those otter boxes? they don't seem to have any bracket for RAM mounts or the like to fix to the bike? I already have a protect case for my iPhone and iPod but neither can fix to bike?

Secondly, if the iPod 80Gb is a problem on the bike I could always use my iPhone - that solid state.

aha...

ipod box to ram mount....regards Paul.

Other options...

1) Get an iPod shuffle for £32, and clip it to your sleeve or glove. I use this method quite a lot. Solid state, quite easy to control even with gloves, and very cheap if you lose it. Just run the headphone wire up your sleeve.

2) iPhone in an inside pocket, and then the Belkin SportCommand strapped around your sleeve. These are now £25 from Halfords if you reserve online and pick up in store.

I am going to be going with the second method now that I have the Belkin.

I use an otter box for mine. Zip tied straight to the bars. Works great. Put some soft foam in to absord vibes to stop my old. 'classic' Now have a Nano, so no probs cos they're solid state, and never lock up!

I'll take some pics and post em over the weekend.

Thanks for the insult on the aquapac/"lunchbox" , if your bothered to do some of your own "real" research you would find that the otter box shown here is the same size as the "lunchbox".

The lunchbox is mounted where the MP3/DAB/FM stereo inside can have channels changed by virtual of its membrane, is totally waterproof to IP65 and suits the purpose it was bought for.

Iphone remote

Hi Paul

I used a Monster Cable IEZclick on a bike trip we did earlier this year

http://www.monstercable.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=3714

clipped the remote to the inside of my hand guard, perfect.. .could change songs no prob.. used it for the entire 2 months of the trip every day... never had a problem...

but the pain in the arse was I couldn't flick through songs and see what was next.. so I got one of the RAM Aqua boxes... PERFECT...

you can get them on eBay no bother..

Having sorted out my Autocom I'm now looking again for an iPhone case. Seen this one but it looks like it could fall out - anyone tried one of these?
