iPod all locked up ...

My iPod 160 gig is all locked up

It's been a faithful and true companion for many a year, and thousands of miles

But it's all locked up, the lock showing on the top bar, but it's not locked

Apart from throwing it in the bin (it really has paid for itself) any suggestions from the collective would be appreciated ... thank you

You can reset it and it'll be fine. Probably.

Mine did that, i just reset it an all was fine, that was a few years back its messing me about again now, time for a new for me i think!

Mine froze up last week. Stuck on pause.

I moved the top lock switch on and off. Then pressed centre button and menu at the same time and hold for several seconds and the apple sign appeared.

Worth a try if no pc/mac iTunes available.

Tried the above resets folks, thanks, nowt working, so maybe with Shep on this one ...

... then I'll rip it apart to see how it works

just leave it till the battery goes completely flat and it will be fine when you recharge it
