Ipod nano volume...........again

Is it possible to uncap the volume restriction on the last ipod nano (the long skinny one not the new video one) using gopod? How loud are they compared to the full fat harddrive versions?

For what I could find, it's not (yet?) possible to remove the volume restriction from the Ipod nano 2nd or 3rd generation.

go into edit, select all, then go to file, select get info, move volume cursor to desired level ! easy

Will increase the volume of the track when compared to the indicated volume, but the actual output will stop increasing at about 60% of maximum indicated...... but this might be enough to swing it. Did sod all for me, mind.

Gopod and Eupod only support 1st generation units.

The only real solution (aparently, I haven't actually tried it yet) is to put US firmware onto the Nano...... they haven't got the same level of Nannying as we do

Not on the Nano..... unless they've released a new version very recently. I'll even go and have another look.

EDIT: Just checked out UK, German & Spanish forums, and everyone is waiting for Gopod 1.5. Mind you, they've been waiting for 18 months..........
