Hi, I've got myself an iPhone 4 and found my old apple iPod of about 8 years old with all my favourite 80s tracks (yea I know I'm trying to hang on to my youth), anyway I tried to sync the old iPod on to iTunes but it's not having it, so any ideas how I can transfer the music over to the iPhone PLEASE.

I think we need to know a little more:

  • Are you synching to a PC?
  • When was the last time you Synched the iPad?
  • Are the tracks on the iPad bought from iTunes or downloaded from another source / ripped from CDs?
  • Do you get any messages when trying to synch the iPod?
  • Have you tried using a different USB port to the one you use for the iPhone?
  • Do you have an iTunes account?

Mutely, theses tunes were downloaded from lime wire about 8 years ago and put on to my old apple iPod from my sons old pc, but because there on the apple iPod I thought I could just sync them over on to I tunes then onto my iPhone obviously wishfully thinking any ideas Im not really into gadgets that much and am struggling with it, it's not the end of the world but it would be nice to have them on my new phone or on an sd card for a sat nav ie Tom Tom rider.

Then I'm guessing that copy toy is what you need mate. :thumb

If you had an iTunes account and the old PC there may have been something else we could have tried :(

i used mediawidget to copy on to itunes then sync on to my new phone they had a free trial which stated it will only do 10 tracks but for some reason it transfered all 64 tracks, i never put any paying details on there site only my email address can they charge me for it? or is it there cock up.

If they have only got your email address I think they'd struggle. :nenau

Even if they do you have managed to get 64 tracks which you haven't had to pay for again, probably at between 79p and 99p, which probably makes you quids in :thumb
