Anyone know which is the best way get full (US spec) volume from a 30gb ipod video? I've done a search and unearthed a suggestion for gopod but it doesn't seem to work:nenau
The site says it's compatible with ipod videos but the read me file says it's not:confused:
Other software seems to just convert the music files not the ipod so new additions need amending, this seems a bit of a faff about:(

gopod works on my 5th gen ipod video :nenau

you're supposed to use it while pod is in disc mode. i just start it while my ipod is syncing.

I used a utility called eupod- I downloaded it ages ago, and am not sure if it is still available. I do have a zipped copy of it if you need it.

It seems to work perfectly. The only thing you have to make sure is that you set iTunes not to open up when the ipod is connected as it wont recognise any songs on the ipod and will copy them over again. If you need to add / remove music from the ipod you have to use eupod to put the volume boost back to zero, close it, go to iTunes, copy your music to the ipod, close iTunes then go back to eupod to increase the volume. Sounds like a load of hassle but it isnt- takes less than 2 seconds to change all the volumes on your ipod.

I would definately give that a go

that sounds like a right faff. use gopod once & everything works as before except the volume goes higher.

you only need to use it again if you update the ipod's software.

Ahhhhh, I thought it was only mac users that had to run it while the ipod was in disk mode:blast
I'll try again. Thanks Cookie:thumb2
