Iran for 1 day?

We are going around Black Sea in May (starting from Tallinn, Estonia) and will be 10 km from Iranian border (Turkey). Since we're under time pressure maximum we could do is to spend there just one day. Is it worth to visit for such a short period? And if Carnet is needed?

Enjoy the trip and post up lots of pics - I'd love to ride around there - and possibly down into Syria/Jordan.

As far as I know both carnet and visa needed.

yeah, seems carnet is needed so will leave iran for my next trip. probably there will be enough to see and do in georgia and turkey thanks for replays anyway
