My dad and I have just returned from a week touring Ireland. We started in Larne having taken the ferry from Stranraer and made our way south to the ROI.
Somewhat unintentionally we did a fair chunk of the WAW. The roads are absolutely spectacular and the scenery is stunning, I suspect that it has, or is quickly becoming, a bit of a tourist trap similar to the NC500 in Scotland. However, if you’re willing to accept the tour buses and campers it’s well worth it.
I took my R1100GS which despite its 50k miles ran without too much hiccup. Albeit I 100% need to replace the front shock the front end is somewhat bouncy to say the least…
