I have seen several mentions of this on the forum and, of course, some super pictures.

It seems to me a good way to ‘see Ireland’ and maybe some bits that are not regular itineraries. Having neglected visiting the country, it’s something that looks interesting to participate in.

 
It is even if you don't do the lot or submit the photos for that matter. (y)
 
The site has photo rally points going back to 2008 so 300 odd points of interest. If you import them into Garmin Basecamp as well as the co-ordinates you also get the description of the site as Notes.

This is helpful as it identifies the photo required.

In MRA this information is preserved if you import as a GPX into "routes" but it links all the points together as a route. You can import it into MRA as custom POI's but you loose the Notes section. You would then have to make manual notes of the photo required.

Because sometimes the checkpoints are obscure.......an old postbox in Co Monaghan.
