Nice One Alan

May One presume One has named the motorcycle and we can hear the continuation of

"The Journey of "XXXX" One Bike, Many Riders"

@ 60 plus to the gallon is that US gallons? as it will be even better with Imperial gallons ?

That's the figure using 4.546l / gallon , ie proper ones (must compare apples and apples !!)
Name ? No , but let's call it Eric

Question re that What is the petrol pumped out of the petrol pumps as ??? Litres Quarts Pints???

Name ? No , but let's call it Eric

Eric the K1100LT instead of Eric the half a Bee! Catchy :aidan

(If you are confused check out Monty Python)

Bugger it Here it is

In US , it's gallons (3.785 litres) , in Canada , it was in litres , all brought back to good old uk gallons

.....and that is Exactly who Eric is named after , we are not Lupins by accident !

Lupin tours have now reached Baltimore , and anyone who is doing a vaguely eastern usa trip ever ..... needs to ride the 11.5mile approx , Dragon's Tail !!!! Google it .....

Hmm here's me thinking that it just was how Tunneller won trophies at the Antler :blast They were real

On My Bucket list You really do seem to be having too good a time of it!

Ready for the last leg now. Heading for the start of "skyline drive" tomorrow. A 105 mile long road , we assume along the top of mountains , which then links up with the better known "Blue Ridge Parkway" which continues for another 400 miles + , towards our final destination.
Still bloody hot , but I am not complaining

In one weeks time we will be close to landing in Belfast ........ hmmmmmmmmm

Enjoy! Blue ridge parkway is a great road.

Stop a night in Pigeon Forge , near bottom of parkway . It's like Vegas for the hill Billy's even with it's own dolly partton theme park , if memory serves me right !

No don't....it's absolute shit hole:eek However, you must ride the Dragons Tail which is at the end of the parkway. 318 curves in 11 miles which will give your concentration and biceps a good workout.

Watch your speed on the Blue Ridge as it's a National Park and the cops will like the extra income to their funds.....DAMHIK:augie

Arrived back to base today. 3000 trouble free miles done , and the "climax" of the holiday , was test driving a "Zero" electric motorcycle at a local bmw dealer today. All I would say is : don't knock it till you've had a go. I came away very impressed. Interesting .............. !!

Some photos when I get back home and have done a sort.

USA Today

I'm the lucky bugger to have taken the batton over from Alan. Planning to go from east coast to west , with no fixed itinery so I can see the weird and wonderful on route. So far been to Charleston , Panama City , New Orleans ,Austin Tx and now heading to Big Bend NP on the Mexican boarder.

I just spotted this and asked Mrs Swollocks if I could have third bite at the bike......
Almost got myself a black eye instead.

Sounds fantastic, but has MasterBaker fallen off the radar? Hope he hasnt been overcome with the crazy temperatures in the West

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-23116333

Or worse still, become somebody's plaything in a Mexican prison :eek
