Is a 03 GS1150 comparable to an Adventure.

Hi

No Dealer around has an Adventure for me to take out for a test ride. One Dealer is getting a 03 GS1150 in. Its a trade-in. Would riding this bike give an ideal what an Adventure like?

Thanks

On the move, yes. I could only test ride an ordinary GS and didn't get any nasty surprises when I rode my Adventure....

However.....NOTHING prepares you for the size and weight when it comes to moving it around or getting on/off on uneven ground!

The only thing that I would add is that the riding positions are some what different.

With the std GS you tend to sit "in it", where as with the GSA you sit "on it", if that makes any sense?

That said, by the time you have added a lower seat and 25mm handlebar risers it is very nearly the same as the std GS anyway!

BTW, silver ones are the quicker version.......... :D

Thanks, I know what you mean. The 1200 felt like that, sitting on top of the bike. I would go for the lower seat.
