Is a 2011 gs1200 instrument cluster compatible with a 2005

Hi can anybody help!
I have a 2005 1200gs that has an intermittent power fault . I have been offered a dash off a 2011 but I am not sure if they are compatible . Can anybody help please before I commit to buy .

First thought would be no because I am pretty sure there were some big ECU changes from the early bikes. They have completely different part numbers as well.

Appreciate the info . Bit of a pain this one as the bike has only done 3000 miles from new .
Anyone have an instrument cluster for a 1200gs from 2004 - 2008 for sale ?

Yes I was going to say you better make it 2007 max. All the changes happened 2008 on.

Missed that bit. Hows that happened then. Mine are perfect despite 40c plus in the summer.
