Is an Airhead a viable alternative to an 800GS?

Same miles as mine 9thou, but mine is the faster Orange...:augie

Brakes can be updated, the front one in standard form is abysmal. all it's good points far outway the little faults and if you find a Well fettled good one [like Kennys] you will never be unhappy with it :bounce1

Airheads rule :rob:rob

My 10 pence worth.

Have both sorts modern and the airhead.
When you travel to the ends of the earth there can be only one....
Airhead:nenau I can fix it, every thing.
For those of you with Touratech DVD's watch the out takes...... Sat Phones to motorad and a bike plugged into a laptop.....

Have one of each

I've got an R1150GS, which I bought new, with 90000km on the clock. I am very much attached to it and just forked out $2000 for new shocks. The bike is worth a lot more to me than it would be to anyone else. To compliment it I bought an R80GS Basic. I can tell you it's Ying and Yang. Both bring a smile to my face every time I ride them. The R80 is more off-road capable and the 1150 is a faster tourer. I do 90% of my own work, sometimes twice (I am still learning :-).

Only an eccentric would have an air head as their only bike: not that there's anything wrong with being an eccentric.

Any excuse to post my Preciousness ... 22k mile Old Bess ...

I need to keep that one so that I can put together the one that I have taken to pieces...............so it's no longer for sale for £250 - although I could do with the room

Thanks for the link - just noticed that the image was too big..so I have resized it

(by the way my comment was meant "tongue in cheek")
