A few months back Paul did some spring cleaning on the site (the time the corporate sponsors logo's were stacked vertically on the left side of the site)
and from then on the site really ran slow for me and was a real pain to use, untill eventually a post concerning Fanums signature line caused me to down load a later version flash player, all of a sudden back up to full speed browsing of the site and all was happy.

Now after this latest "upgrade" to the site has occoured ( the de-colouring of the moderator tags and member tags) the site is like wading through treacle again

Anything I can test/check this end to find out if its me???

Other sites are fine BTW

Paul is playing with the big box of Carolas he got for chrimbo......he hasn't finished yet, but every time he makes a change, the server has to go through and apply it to everyone, which may be slowing it down a tiny bit for some people.

Your PC is also having to load up new images rather than instantly retrieving them from its cache, so if you're on a slow machine anyway, that might make a slight difference too.


I think he's probably nearly done, so bear with it.....or if you're having big probs, go into your User CP and set it not to show avatars or signatures...that should speed things up significantly even if it does make the place look a bit bland for a while
