Is it worth it Would you buy it? 1150GS Gearbox

At the risk of some other Kiwi GSer being a sneaky bugger and buying it under me is this worth it?

I can buy RT gearboxes for NZ$350 to $400 but the beauty of this it is all open to see. I would have it packaged and posted to me though.
At present it approx. 2 x NZ$ to the UK£

Why would you want to buy it?.
The input shaft looks OK but the casing is missing, and reading the ad,god knows what else.

As above I wouldn't bother - looks like a load of hassle to me. Changing a gearbox is a PITA job and takes ages. You really wouldn't want to swap it over only to find out that there's some problem with it. I'd hold out for a known good complete unit even if that means paying a bit more.

I put it out there because it was nagging me but you have convinced me to not buy it......yet.
If it got silly cheap then I would grab it but not now.

Hi Adrian, Im the bloke selling this gearbox. Im not selling it as a running gearbox, if you think youre gonna bolt on and go, then it wont happen. As it says in the title, its parts only.

Sorry If I have upset you but I was just asking those with more knowledge of the GS than myself what they thought of this. I am fully aware it is parts only and it is a reasonable price. But like most of us if I did buy it would sit in the shed with all the other stuff just in case I needed it. As I said in my last reply if it was silly cheap then use I would have grabbed it and yes it would still have sat in my shed.
