Is the 1300GS meeting sales expectations?

What good are backlit buttons/ switches?

I have muffs on, they'd need to be fukin bright for me to see them ;)
I’ve never, so far as I know, looked at the switches to use them after the first few rides.

I’ve no idea if my 1200 has back-lit ones or not.

would you develop that muscle memory if you changed bikes every couple of weeks or months?

Lets see??

What switches do i need to use every day on a motorbike

start / stop & indicators

Other than that, I'm looking at what matters , anywhere other than some switches on the handlebars, which unless the writing was in Ariel 48 i'd have no chance reading anyway

backlit or not

Again, another non problem that is suddenly a problem :blast

Since it became available in the UK the 1300GS has been the best seller in the 1000cc plus/Adventure section peaking in March at 431 sales. In April the 1250GSA retook the crown it had held for a couple of years back from the wankpanzer with 218 sold. There's no data from MCIA available to say what the other individual models sold so we don't know how far they are behind the leaders in each section.

62 R1300GS on Auto trader this morning. Would suggest they're not really selling like hot potatoes. Quite a few used ones too!

I'm just waiting to see what happens, might even wait for the 2 year refresh, might even buy something different

Ive yet to see one on the road anywhere.
Seen one on A40 on my way to see Scoops at the weekend. That was one and only time I’ve seen one outside of dealer forecourt.

Seen loads , I ride with 2 . There were another 2 at the Honey Cafe Bronllys , stopped at Beddgelert and chatted to a group from Manchester . That was one ride out . Also passed loads on the ride .

I'm yet to see one in the flesh, I hope they are better than they look in the pictures.

Gs1300 requires further development and gremlins ironing out
Mainly electrical diagnostic issues main thing for me it rattles
Like a old talbot to much for my mechanical sympathy
As for the luggage still waiting buy after market kit

Saw my first one yesterday, a bloke on a 1300 following a woman on a smaller bike through Midhurst. It looked pretty small for a GS and I didn’t like the absence of a rear brake/tail light.

Or maybe they can't keep up with the demand of the new bike.I ordered mine in late October and will finally get it this week.Another point is ,in the UK are the 1250 on special ?
