Depends what you call new. This software update has been around for a few months now. All our fleet RTs have had the update.

Purchase a Triumph instead , complete with loose brake disks

been around for a while, only really relevant to those that take to the soft roads.

bmw website, enter your vin and it will tell you all you need to know...it will be done at next service unless you really can t wait!

Doesn’t work, maybe because I’m trying to use it on an iPad.

just checked on the laptop (W11) and it worked - well, it asked for a VIN or Reg No, and I put it in and it showed me a picture of a blue GS1250TE and a green stripe across the bottom, which I take it means that I do not need a recall. Would have been nice to read "no outstanding safety concerns" but hey ho.

How long does a software update take? Can it be done while waiting?

Had mind done today.
They needed it for 2 days as the update took 5 to 7 hours. Takes longer with SOS function.
So you can’t wait for it..!

Also had the update on my bike yesterday, which too, has the SOS function. It took 2.5 hrs. I was told some can take all day, others, less than an hour. The technician told me that the software update times appear random, until they are part way through the upload, they have no way of knowing how long.

Got my recall letter today

Received this in the post today.

Mine done today when I had my new tyres fitted

Got the same letter today.

Reminds me I really do need to book a service for it..

I got the same letter today. When I spoke with Bahnstormer a month ago about an update, they told me 6-7 hours for it to load. This letter says about half an hour. Same update or 2 different ones?
