I have seen this advert in the Friday-Ad and was wondering what others may think. too good to be true? There are photo's as well and it looks immaculate. There is no phone number to ring though, you have to send your phone number and email address.

I suspect the £2,000 is a mis-print ....... unless he/she is trying to lure Tossers to their doom......the shocks must be worth best part of £2k :D

:yikes

Do you REALLY have to ask :blast:augie:augie

the bike will be in Hungary at a guess and he needs a western onion bank draft to go to an independant holder, like bollox

Have some fun send him a email address, not your own, make one @ gmail or Hotmail or even yahoo Have you got an old phone?? use a free sim, charge it up with fiver, then send that number, have fun, chase him up his own arseole
419eaters.com rule !!!

Its a scam I had a Motorhome for sale on a well known auto site the add was taken over by some one in the Czech rep. Where the asking price was half the asking price with the contact details changed, there seems to be people out there daft enough to send money with out looking at the goods. If it seems to good to be true it probley is!

Congrats. You have won £1,000,000 in Uganda's national Lottery. Please forward your bank details, ( with pin numbers for verification ) and in return I will tell you how to claim this money. It's currently lodged at the end of a rainbow in the West of Ireland but for a fee I can supply gps co-ordinates or alternatively an AA road map to guide you to your destination. Many kind thanks. Mr. Sheik Urmanni. :jes

Send reply asking for home and work address, work and GSM mobile number so that your friend at Interpol can check them out as soon as they've sent 500 UKP as a good will gesture via Western Union ;)

I don't know... all these replies and no one's thought to welcome you to the site Jake :thumb

His reply; Hi, Sky-Shipping is the shipping company that will handle this transaction because I am at work, I am
working on an oil rig, Sedco 711.
Sky-Shipping is the shipping company that will handle this transaction.
My bike is in their custody and they will have to deliver it to your location.I signed an insurance
policy and I paid in advance some money for the shipping cost. After you will make the payment as a
deposit with money gram individual payment system prior to delivery ,my bike will be shipped to your location and you will have to test it and also sign the documents: the V5,the agreement for releasing the funds to me and other documents regarding delivery. In case that you would find something damaged at my bike I would assume myself the responsibility of getting it back on my own expense, but I don`t think that something like this could happen because I really know what I own. If you were not happy with my bike ,you would be able to withdraw your deposit in 10 minutes.
In order to go further with this transaction I will need your name, address and also a valid phone number. After I will get those details I will forward them to the shipping company and they will contact you.
Cheers

ME; Sounds very good. How much is the deposit you need?

His reply; The deposit will have to be made for the whole amount because I insured this transaction.
If you want to proceed further , let me know with the details I asked for.
Michael.

ME; Please forward a copy of the transport documents together with the insurance policy details. What does the insurance cover me for exactly?

His reply; Data protection act prevents me to release any documents to unknown persons. The insurace will cover any damage that could occure during the transportation and it is up to £4000.
Thank you.

ME; Ok, We'll leave it at that then. Sorry I'm not prepared to trust an insurance policy with my money when I can't see the terms of the insurance. Good luck with the sale.

Third forum i have seen the same ad for the same 1200 on but the price varies from 2000 to 2600 but the same "welcome to my country my friend" response to contact :thumb

and yet people still buy stuff from these scammers......

is this a scam, did you really need to ask?

harry

Welcome Jake.:)
Believe me,it's not a scam. The bike belongs to a mate of mine and it's parked outside my house. If you post your address and leave the 2 grand (used 20's) behind the re-cycle bin I'll drop the bike off and collect the cash later.
BTW I have a Tag Heuer Monaco inscribed on the back "To Steve McQueen, happy birthday from your old pal Henry VIIIth" ..........yours for another grand.

:D

I've 2 original skulls of St Patrick for sale.
Described as follows;
Skull No 1 was taken when he was a young lad just before all the sections finally knitted together.
Skull no 2 comes from the time of his death.

I know of only 3 other skulls of the same man that are in a collection in Japan, so hurry they won't last long at this price. €1000.00 each
Cash can be left behind the same recycle bin as before. :aidan:aidan
