As I'm about to jump for a GSA I asked the dealer about corrosion cover and the issues. etc. The response was less than appealing.
- 2 Year warranty covers corrosion AS LONG AS bike has been reasonably maintained (clearly subjective interpretation escape clause here)
- If you extend the warranty after 2 years, corrosion is NOT covered.
What is reasonable maintenance ? ACF50 every year, every month? Hose down once a week? Keep in humidity controlled isolation chamber with O2 removed?
Also, apparently the paint processes have been adapted since the first 2013 LCs came out. Black coating supposedly better at preventing paint bubbling but can still corrode allot in daily use through salt prepped winters.
So answer is ... erm don't ride your bike on the roads and make sure it does not get wet?
Great
