14 year old daughter wants one for her birthday - she needs enough memory/playability for the sims computer games, internet access (wireless), photo/video storage and general teenage useage.

Looking to get from tesco as they're offering £10=£20 in vouchers and I've just found £250 worth in a drawer we've never used :D

this any good or would you recommend another?

Thanks :thumb2

Looks fine to me, my brother and I both have Dell XPS laptops which we are more than happy with.

dell had a very bad reputation in the past and the marketing the department at Dell has worked really hard to turn negative into positive.

It should be fine, if thee's a problem don't scream the house down but point out any issues and they'll do everything to resolve it.

Just did a job for'em... and they seem to be genuine about it. the changes they want

It is hard to buy something not up to most things these days, unless your playing the latest 3D games and want the ultimate graphics experience or editing Video.

May be worth checking against other places / Dell website to see if price is about right, or use a comparision such as price runner.

Reckon spec will be fine for what you need, built in card reader and webcam are handy extra's, HD is decent size too.

They have saved by having shared graphics and not the fastest disks / processors / NIC, but overall I doubt you would notice the difference on most day to day stuff anyway.
