It is dealer specific. Unfortunately many are very arrogant like my local dealer. They are so bad that many travel overseas to get bikes serviced.

In view of the latest R1250 postings, it made me wonder, so I posted the following over at the KTM section.
Do you think this is impolite?

I've been following the responses in both the the WC section (here) and your identical post in the Ornage section, it's been most entertaining
However, what has REALLY struck me is the differing responses in each section.
In the Orange section there has been nothing but good humour, light hearted comments and a general 'yeah, whatever' attitude. There has been absolutely none of the rude/brat/aggressive behaviour that the Orange riders in there are accused of
In here though, on an identical thread, we have old women moaning about shit, slagging off others choice of bike, being fairly aggressive and general knob waving about how they can get their pegs down and ride faster than any other bike.
Very interesting and, more importantly, very telling

No more than usual.

I don't think so. And why such a question? I'm Norwegian, perhaps you should brush up on your geography. The picture was taken about as far away from Santander as you can get in the western world.

Ah, so you were then. Thought so
Just thought it may have been you on your holibobs
You should try venturing outside of Norway, I have it on good authority that travel broadens the mind

Arsey there is a country South of the border called mexico that is free where you can go as fast as you want and pretty much do what your want without adult supervision
Last year my buddy on his new 1290 "Superadventurer" found out how fast 160 hp really were ? Governed to 125mph !
KTM does not trust their own ability to build a decent chassis that does not wobble with bags on.
Ready to Race...Even my GS with only 125hp was faster doing 135 smelling exhaust fumes of locals riding XR's probably doing 160...
And where is the design flaw of the R12GS that they withdrew it from the market ?
All I remember that they delayed the release of the G310 as now the F850 before they sell it to the public to get it right but those are not real BMW's in my opinion anyways made in india or engine made in china.
Same with Triumph's or Ducati's made in Thailand or would you buy a Chinese Rolex...
Same with KTM whose bikes up to 390cc are coming from india with welds that look like bird-shitt or the whole 790 line will be made in china...
I don't advocate to go out now to buy expensive, totally boring, cheap looking Honda afreeka-tweens now with heavy tubed wheels...as the Japanese lost their ability to make desireable motorcycles long time ago.
The best Japanese superbike is made in Berlin since autumn 2009...and a all new S1000RR advancing the game is lurking around the corner...
Last year, the mothership sold circa 50000 GS/A.
There are hundreds of thousands of GS WC out there. The proportion of failures are very low...
I like and own BMW bikes and cars. That is why I'm on a BMW forum....
If you don't like BMW, good for you. If you reckon orange/blue/yellow is the best - go your hardest.
Arguing which is best is utterly pointless on a brand-specific forum....
and gave me the thumbs up wishing me lots of fun in his country...
