If you look at Halfords bike check list they don't claim to do an oil for the WC

This is from the owners book

SAE 5W-40, API SL / JASO MA2

If the oil meets this spec it will be fine

This is from Comma they only seem to make one fully synthetic motorcycle oil

http://www.commaoil.com/passenger-vehicles/products/view/271

I would use it but some others may not, it meets APi SL and its Jaso MA the MA2 is the same spec oil but safe for use in bikes with catalytic converters most fully synthetic oils are now safe by default MA2 spec is now over 10 years old

but they do http://www.halfords.com/motoring/motorcycling/motorcycle-oils/valvoline-synpower-4t-5w-40-1-litre

rarely stocked in store but if you click & collect via the website you can collect a couple of days later

you can get it for £10.40 a litre as I posted here: http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showth...W-40-JASO-MA2-at-Halfords?highlight=valvoline
use Quidco to connect to the Halfords website for cashback. Flash a trade card at the collection counter and pay using a credit card registered with Quidco. End result, £2.60 discount.

The bike oils are mainly oil bath clutch, ma or ma2, so the halfords stuff described for bikes is likely to be ok , they do simplify descriptions for the diy market,
I would use it in my lc, my friend runs it in his zzr1400, no issues,
