Finally got the dealer to have a look at the buckle in my spoked rear wheel yesterday. I measured the lateral runout to be 2mm which is way over spec for the wire wheels (1.5mm) but not for the cast wheels (2mm) which is a surprise. They discussed it with BMW Australia who said, while you can adjust the spokes to pull it out, it would be better off ordering a new wheel. So that is on its way now. 
However, while they were starting the bike up to check the wheel the starter motor sh*t itself....! 
Best place I could hope for it to happen though, I guess. They had a spare second-hand one in the shop (why?) so they put that on to keep me mobile and ordered a new starter as well. Bike only has 4000km on the clock, so why? Just a bad one? 
Was talking to a guy who just dropped off a 1200ADV for a 10K service and he had a clutch replaced at 6k but still loved the bike. "Never have my arse off it" says he....
