Use mine all year round .
Where I live riding in winter is not really an option. Driving a car is never a problem on winter tyres but with daytime temps. that can go down to -15c and roads cleared leaving a hard packed snow surface, riding anything on two wheels is no fun! Most people do as I do and hand back the number plate during the winter months. This saves the road tax over the winter.
That's the downside of being a biker here, the upside is the roads I ride all summer!

John - I think you mean its not a option for you, unless you live in Warth or on some other mountain top. I live near you and I ride my KTM all year just avoiding the days when there is actually snow sitting on the roads (like today).
Some of my best rides have been have been during the winter months when the roads are empty. Last week I crossed the Fernpass and saw only three cars in 25km. but I did need the heated grips on max.

nothing can beat a rideout on a crisp winter morning

That the road up to the dam John?![]()
