Isle of Man Meets

Take them up the back road to Windy Corner from Glenroy :D :thumb

Not sure if I'll be available this weekend yet though. :(

Thats was BRILLLLLLLL!!!!

Kate, Dave, Chris, Geraldine, Carol, Geoff, Peter .......it was really lovely to see you guys today. The meal was lovely and the company even better....and Chris....that ride was brilliant....now I just have to find it again (I was paying attention...honest!).

What a gorgeous day.......can't wait to get out there again! I think there were several accidents today, iunfortunately, one preventing us from getting to Kirk Michael....so we went the back way home! I hope whoever it was was OK......did you see it Chris?

ANyway...can't wait to see you all again at the Creek next month and at the next ride. Sunday 29th? Meet in Port St Mary perhaps and ride up and over to Niarbyl? I'll book a table once I know the numbers.

AND THIS TIME THE CAMERA WILL COME WITH FUNCTIONING BATTERIES!!!:blast

:kissy2 Moo

Sunday the 29th sounds good...we will need to book Niarbyl in advance as it gets busy...something to do with the great food and fantastic views I reckon

Moo...I got turned-off the TT course at the top of Barregarrow...I had to divert through to the Peel coast road...there was another policeman at Douglas road corner in KirkMicheal...what ever had happened it must have been a nasty one :(

The roads are always safer over here when its chucking it down...all the wannabee racers stay at home...

Well yeh...you could definately tell that alot was going on today the amount of police and ambulances we were seeing! We'll have to listen out tomorrow on Manx Radio and see what happened.....as you say I hope no one was killed.

I'll give the cafe at Niabyl a ring tomorrow and book a table for 12 for the 29th.....and then we can see who is coming and gauge from that. I know Peter and Barbara can't make the next one 'cause they'll be in Germany....but what about you other lot eh?

AND Carol and I were talking about getting a crowd together to do a trip across..perhaps to Yorkshire or The Lakes.....any one else interested in that? perhpas in the fall?

Moo's to all........and no sign of the man who doesn't eat today!!! Hmm!!

Moo:beerjug:

Sunday ride and meal was good, as was company. Sorry I'll miss the next outing.
Re an off Island w/end, I've gone to Scarborough several times for the m/bike racing at Olivers Mount. The date (2007) is 15 / 16 Sept. The ride from Heysham across N Yorkshire is xcellent, wonderful roads and scenery, good distance, good pit stops en route. Lots of accommodation options in Scarborough, plus Shops, beach, entertainment, countryside to xplore and for those interested, the racing on Olivers Mount, right next to the town, is fast annd furious (it's like a very mini TT course). Look at www.auto66.com That's my contribution to the discussion !

Hi Guys,

I am assuming that it'll be that sort of number.....hopefully piebaps and samwise will make it this time (guys?) and did anyone get Carol and Geoff's user name? (Carol and Geoff...we hope you can make it!!). I must get peoples numbers next time.

Anyway.....ride out.....Chris.......up to you......you're good at these!!

by the way....:topic

our car FINALLY went for its re-registration you aint bloody leaving now test thingamebob today (after discovering last night that the front tyres were rather bald....and replacing them this morning at RayMotors for a bloody £145.....:mcgun ) and it passed!!

why does everyone (well...OK....a few people:hide ) on the island keep telling me..."ooh...that won't pass; or that aint the Manx way" and then it happens just fine!! I was told my 3 work permits wouldn't come through...and they were fine!! Weird!! Negativity....what a waste!

Seems to me the "Manx Way" is a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy...if you believe it...it will happen!!

Just my rant for the day .

Moo...you find most of the Manxies who live out in the sticks are very well balanced people...they have a chip on both shoulders ;)

BTW...I digress...Dave called in for a cuppa and I have his phone number...I'm on strict orders to leave him a message with when/where etc...

I'm up for the 29th but will have to beef up the suspension on my bike to carry the chips I have on my shoulders:D

Q. How many manxmen does it take to change a lightbulb?
A. None. Manxmen don't like change!

Welcome to the Isle of Man Moo. This is the spiritual home of negativity but once you know that you can just ignore it......like everyone else does.

Us Manxies don't need work permits and it would be unusual for us to have to take a vehicle through a test and consequently our views on the processes are based on a lot of rumour and little or no fact.

Just me on the 29th. Mrs Pie still has a broken leg and is unable to get on the bike. Hopefully she will be fit for action May/June ish.

See you all soon.

Hi...thanks guys...in actual fact it has been a few non-manx folk who have been so negative....I do wonder why they are here if they are so unhappy. Most "small" communities are somewhat "set" in their ways...but its this kind of "ooh...you don't wanna do that" type of stuff that has been really getting on my nerves. Sorry I ranted..I should have explained better....but I am finding that with the odd acception things are no different here to any other place. Some people like "come overs" some don't...thats life eh?

Anyway..I have found that just not pushing and trying to just relax about things has normally led to an ease of path.....thats what moving here was all about.

Moo to y'all........so Chris...any routes in mind yet? (oh ...and ask Dave to remember me moo stickers!!:augie )

Moo x

And Piebaps...sorry to hear the Mrs has been in a bad way! Wish her well. See ya soon...are you over to The Creek on the 17th? and you Chris ?

I should be free, you star of the local media, you ;)

I'm watching the racing up at Jurby this Sunday, but don't think I've got anything due on the 29th :D
