Looks like it all went well as did my trip to Dublin. Spotted Chris out cleaning his bike while on the way back from the airport.

1st April is good for me unless of course it is an elaborate hoax

So...the 1st April seems to be good for most folk! Bumped into Mannanin the other day (nice to see you both ) and I also mentioned Niarbyl to them....what do folk think?

Niarbyl or the place down from Glen Helen....Glen Moar (i think).....the cafe there...anyway OR Glen Maye...the Waterfall Pub there......

voters say "ey" and in the meantime...shall we see you at The Creek? this Tues? or next? the 20th or the 27th???

Hopefully my bike will be fixed by then

Battery draining problem was traced to the rear brake servo running constantly. They have changed the ABS sensor but that only made it worse!

She's now at S&S undergoing major surgery and they tell me today that she is getting a new diff courtesy of BWM warranty.

I really don't mind what the venue is and will go with the flow.

Moo, good to see you "grazing" at Greens.
I won't be able to do 1 April for the next lunch / ride. I (alone) could do the Sunday before and we ( her and me) could do later.
Glen Moar cafe, Liverpool Arms ( between Onchan and Groudle), the pub down by Laxey Harbour, Browns Cafe Laxey and the Ramsey Pool cafe do decent no-frills food, have seating for a group and convenient parks for the bikes. I just offer these for information but will be happy to go anywhere.

Anyway - looking at the threads - yes ----I had forgotten that the 8th is Easter.....SO.....

how about the last Sunday in March...the 25th....does that suit everyone? and going to the Waterfall in Glen Maye.....which I'll book once I get numbers...does that sound good...or we could do The Raven again since we all liked the food???? Chris might like that!!

and how about the course starting in Douglas??

yes...I drove thru' to Sandygate late afternoon and it was rather nasty out.....driving snow for goodness sake!!...I wonder what it'll be like tomorrow.

where shall we meet for the 25th then? and shall we go back to the Raven?? I don't really mind..it was a good meal.....Chris can you book for 1pm for 10 again?

I have had anice note from Kate and DAve who are coming over for a long weekend next weekend...K&H......so 2 more for the meet...

now its decision time......

how about The Raven again (if its not too late to book) and a ride-out from Douglas along the course...backwards??? how would that be? starting at the Grandstand?

Meet at 12? Is there a point where we will all see eachother? I have only passed it a few times.

25th at the grandstand, at 12, in the "lay-by" where the row of bottle bank / unwanted clothing containers are parked, wearing a pink carnation for identity. Backwards round the TT course will be a challenge but I'm prepared to try it !! Seriously, it's my preferred way round, so I'm happy with the suggestion.

24th is my birthday (40th ) and not only will I be cataclysmically drunk on the Saturday night I will also be in Italy on a late season ski trip.

I like Thai food too so its a double disappointment.

Where are you staying? We can perhaps come and get you on Sunday in Douglas and take you to the Grandstand...but in the meantime...we are eating at The Raven which is in Ballaugh. (My number is 07624 489776 if you want us to come and get you...it will be no probs to do so!)) Follow the signs for Peel out of Douglas (coming through Union Mills/Glen Vine/Crosby/Greeba) until you come to a set of crossroads (about 8 miles or so)(known as Ballacraine) where there is a set of traffic lights and where in front of you and to the right there is a big PINK house (a pine shop). (You are following the racetrack..so you can also just follow the orange signs telling you how the track is turning etc). Turn right there (signposted for Kirk Michael 6.5 miles, Ramsey etc) (keeping the pink building to your left) and follow the road through the glens and out onto the top (by Cronk y Voddy)...ending up coming through Kirk Michael and then, after a few miles more, Ballaugh. AS you come into Ballaugh you will see The Raven right there on the right just over the hump back bridge (you can't miss it).

We are meeting there at 1pm....but it'd be great (if the weather is good) if you want to join us on the ride). We can pick you up at about 11.30 where you are staying and then go to the Grandstand from there. Let me know.....tis no probs to meet you no matter where.

Hey there,
Have a good trip! Take some Stugeron a couple hours before the boat and stay towards the back of the boat...APPARENTLY...thats the best place to be! (We did the front in Dec....NO WAY JOSE!!!....never again! I have never so much in my entire life (except for hugging the toilet back in Oct...but even that wasn't so bad compared to being at the front....with the guys next to us (by the way) discussing what they would be having for tea...VERY LOUDLY!!).
