i have just rented a cottage in Linicro on the isle of skye for a week. i will be heading up on friday the 4th of september and i am looking for a decent b&b around the fort william area for that night. i will be on four wheels as my mother is traveling up with us. any suggestions on things to do and see and places to eat would be welcome.
cheers in advance

Try the Inn at Ardgour just across the water by the Corran Ferry. Much nicer than Fort William. Then drive along the other side of Loch Linnhe (nice and quiet) and then pick up the Mallaig road near Glenfinnan. Do a loop through Arisaig to see the white sands of Morar and then catch the ferry from Mallaig to Armadale on Skye.

Pre book the ferry :rob

+1 for the Glenlochy Guest House :thumb2

Probably one of the best ones I've ever stayed in.

Al :)

Deffo do book the ferry.

5 of us turned up a couple of weeks back and they could take 2 of us but there would be a three-hour delay for the others.

Would also agree the Corran Ferry route to Mallaig.

Stunning roads and scenery!

found one now. after trying another seven which were fully booked as it is the ben nevis race on the saturday. every where is booked but one owner put me in touch with someone who lets out rooms in there house occasionally. we will be heading up to fort agusta from fort william then on to skye over the bridge so we dont need to book the ferry. cheers YALCRABM
