It’s not a mini-cruise. It’s a fucking ferry - An X-rated ADVenture….

Having already seen the ADVantages of the the X-ADV 750 and bought one, I’m following this thread with mucho interest. Seeing and hearing about its touring abilities are exactly what I want, this is real world testing, by someone who, whether you love him or not, knows what he is talking about, not some you-tuber with limited knowledge and experience borrowing one from Dobles for an hour then telling us why we should/shouldn’t buy one.
Taking pictures of bikes in a scenic setting, while on a biking holiday, then putting them on a biking forum, is the norm.
Well done sir, keep the pics and reports coming, they are appreciated by most on here.👍🏻
Good stuff

I saw a group of 8-10 proper Scooterists(on Vespas and Lambrettas) this morning

Escaping Ripon this morning at 8am

Blue haze in their wake (lovely)

Got to the A1 main roundabout and promptly blocked it 🙈

None of them could decide which exit, so blocked it totally, instead

Not a GPS between them

Much arguing between themselves

Bloody funny and seen it many times on group rides

Not a GPS between them
We were heading home from an event in Alicante. We’d joined onto a group heading for the ferry from Santander so we were just going to turn off at Zaragoza and head up to the Somport tunnel. However, at the first roundabout/ motorway junction which was clearly signposted Valencia and Murcia our leader, the only person with a GPS set off to Murcia, we followed, for about 40 miles but it seemed he wasn’t going to turn around - eventually I gave up, went off at the next junction and headed back north.

GPS is like any tool ie only useful if you know how to use it.

I realise I’m distracting from the original thread here but I felt this was too important not to tell.
The V5 arrived this morning. The great debate is actually over. Bit of a 42 moment I feel.😉IMG_0779.jpeg

I like pics to include images of bikes, with my mates all I ask is stand normal when the red light shines from camera.
I gave up after this one. :cautious:

There's nowt as funny as folk......I enjoy pretty much every trip report posted (far too few in reality) Some are too wordy with too few pics....so what...some are food pic heavy, or bike pic heavy or.....so I can scroll on past. I've also got that good old ignore person/thread function too.
If folk don't like the guy, ignore him...if folk don't like a particular thread, ignore it....not really difficult...is it ?
Keep up YOUR report, your way...some of us read it, look at the photos and enjoy both. Thanks for taking the time to do it.

My 2p for what it’s worth: traditional scooterists are the one’s who should be complaining - these modern scoots are much more motorbike than scooter, the only thing that puts me off is the reputation of the riders in my part of the world (southern France & northern Spain) and a lot more are nicked than even GSes around here.

As to the thread, lots of excellent photos - I’d never have the time or patience to post stuff as I’m going along. Personally, I can’t bear photos of peoples dinner, just get on and eat it.
As a Lambretta owner/rider I couldn't care less what you ride. But this scooter/bike is a hybrid of both worlds.I could go on a rant what the modern scooter has done to the scooter scene/rally but I don't want to go off on a tangent.
Ride what ya like,go on journeys and post loads of info and photo's, this is a great thread where the OP has been to some crackin places and had some quality grub.
Keep it up Arse,great thread:cool:

Snap, due to these reports I’m looking at getting an ADV350 I think.
you won't go wrong with the ADV 350, a fantastic machine. I'll have another one at some point. I especially liked the under seat storage, it means you can go touring without panniers.

Unfortunately there’s always a few who have to share their narrow minded views with all and sundry .

Anyway , cracking day on the N260. We’ve done about 140 miles of it today then the remaining 170 tomorrow.

Took very few photos as too busy riding . The few I did take .

The restaurant is closed as low season so going to stroll along the river to Rialp for dinner . The owner here is lovely and we’re the only guests so he said feel free to help ourselves to any drinks in the bar and we’ll sort it tomorrow .
