It’s not a mini-cruise. It’s a fucking ferry - An X-rated ADVenture….

Room cost rate related - I once read that a French couple had sex in a communal room on the Camino de Santiago. I’m torn between spending extra for a private room or thinking ‘it’s all part of the Adventure.’

I’m not French by the way.

Ars you his secretary now.😁

EV’s back…🤣🤣

What no Wobble Box. 🤣🤣🤣

Great trip report mate👍👍👍

Prices very reasonable and food looks great. When riding in France I reckon on € 200 per day all in. Food, lodging, fuel etc. normally pretty accurate.
UK to me is well over that these days

Fantastic photos. Taken on a phone?

Really enjoyed that and would love to do it one day but I’d have to come over to UK to get the ferry. No intention of riding all the way down. Maybe back up though through France. Maybe a big trip for next year….
Really inspiring

Thanks ...that looks like a good solution....routing the cables to the battery is difficult tho' I'm a self confessed numpty with electronics so don't want to fcuk up anything on the bike

I appreciate your advice

Great report enjoyed following you on your tour, looked like a great trip.

If you take the battery cover off then at the lower left-hand side there is a hole that the leads can go down, as that's how I powered my Garmin sat nav. A tie wrap that's about 2 feet long does the job of pulling the cables along it to exit near to the horn. I found that the Thunderbox and leads made getting the cover on rather hard so drilled a hole and had the Thunderbox on the luggage side of the cover. Then you can have a charging point in the luggage bay as well quite easily. IIRC others have found a similar hole / tunnel on the right-hand side near to the fuse box.

I also swapped the three special bolts for standard ones to make getting the cover back on easier as well.
Fantastic...that's exactly the information I needed....I know what you mean about space in the battery compartment,

I've fitted the Thunderbox to other bikes in the past, it can be a struggle to find a route for the two cables but especially so on the ADV

I should now be able to 'get it sorted'

Thanks again (y) (y):)

On this occasion, I’ll admit it. Yes it would have broken my bank, having just come back from a rather expensive trip to Japan only a month ago. Then again, even if I had signed up to come, I would probably had to cancel anyway, as I have an important project on the go. There is always next year and a year after, unless I am dead, then Hey ho, such is life.
I am just sorry that I have to miss this one for now. I am sure my moaning about lack of veggie shite is a bit of a relief all round. 😅
Didn't realise you were a veggie: You've never mentioned it. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Did he remove that black carrier bag from his field of vision that's tucked down the front of windscreen?
Don't fancy steering with that there either. :D
Last image looks like my old XTZ 750 Tener'e, same colour.

Edited, as the Trivago stuff has been moved to its own thread.

was that brekkie stop Meyrueis? Love that area, went there for a couple of nights after La Rochelle and Cabrerets last year.

(Cùnt)

Then on to the Gorge du Verdon.
The Rukka sisters were supposed to line their Wankpanzers up with my scoot of awesomeness but they were too heavy to manoeuvre so all we got was this

So onwards to Castellane and a view I’ll never tire of

IMG_4411.jpeg

The ride of 270 miles was supposed to take 7 hr 5 mins and we did it in 8 hr 30 including all stops , leaving at 0700 and arriving at 1530.
