No. Staying in Nouvel Hotel du Commerce .Are you staying at the Hotrl du Levant in Castellane? Bumped into you in the garage there circa 2008. Believe your 747 was on a GS in those days.
Tangents are inevitable when reports are written as they happen in real time and at coffee/lunch/dinner time. Writing one post trip, requiring to diarise each and every day… it’s too much faff for the creator of that content. This trip report has more tangents than my nieces telling me about their day![]()
Loving the routes and hotels though. Lots of updates to my Santander- Cain trip in June being made.
Didn't realise you were a veggie: You've never mentioned it.![]()

I personally like a full blown story*, others prefer snippets of it here and there. A bit like them annoying YouTube “Short” videos. Gives you an idea what happening, but hardly a broader picture. This is not say that this ride report is limited to a mere few words and dozen of pictures. It is just different to other ride reports I have read over the years on here.
*My take on ride report:
I like to go into more detail, rather than just a. Few words, you know where I have been, what I have seen, would I recommend said scenery/establishment to others, what route I’ve taken and what too keep an eye out for whilst traveling said route, rather than plonking a map of a route on a forum and “figure it out for your self mate”, I like a bit of culture and heritage, stopping at and taking time gazing at a viewpoint, (they are there for a reason), rather than snap a photo of it, then another of a bike at it and back on the road in under 2 minutes.
Some on here enjoy a different take, while others loathe it as much as a heavy literature reading.
There again, we are all so very different, in what we like, prioritise, etc, in no different way to a selection of popular film directors. They all are directors, but each and everyone has a different directing approach. We do not have to like them all.
Anyway back to Arseys ride report. My apologies for the tangent
Glad you think you are a fixer, I however do hear otherwise.Fixed![]()
