so do i risk riding it or leave it till the tax disk turnes up .
Same thing happened to me last year. Within about 30 minutes of delivery, I had my biking kit on and I was headed out on the bike. No way I could just sit and look at it.

Hope you did the same. Mind you, I live out in the sticks with fewer police to try to 'explain' things to. :D

Well took the advice , but admitedy have not had the time to clock up lots of miles only manged about 40 miles since yeasterday. so far over the moon with it , had a fiddle about with the seat hight. The ride to work will tell if i have it right , getting on an off get's some getting used to with the panniers fitted !

I have found a site mentioned in another thread with lots of carbon bits so , here we go again . this s the first bike since my 996 ducati some years ago which has got me exited about riding again.

Careful!

Don't drop it yet - at least not until you have fitted the 'crash bars.' Two safe ways to get on a. if you are a bit short, leave it on the centre stand, climb aboard and push it off. b. psh it onto the side stand, climb aboard, straighten it up - and away you go. Yes, it all sounds a bit elementary - then just ask around and see if you can find anyone who has NOT dropped it whilst stationary! You'll soon get used to it and wonder what all the fuss was about.

Don't have to much of a problem hight wise , just not flexable enough ! Keep catching my boot on the panniers!
