Its been a long time coming...

So after 14years of being away from motorcycling, I walked into Coopers BMW of Sunderland on Saturday and placed a deposit on a Alpine White GS TE. I have to admit it wasn't a rash decision. I took a 2013 model for a spin in Sherbourne last year; I've devoured every available review and I've spent some time lurking on this site to get the full low down on ownership of it.

That said, it still took me 30 mins to decide on the colour (they had all 4 available and some custom paint jobs) and a further 15 mins to summon the courage to get a salesman. Just a little trepidation in not wanting to throw 13 large at a pup. We'll see.

I was waiting for a call today from Coopers to confirm registration and VIN which happened, what I wasn't expecting was that its coming on Wednesday (delivered - Can't get away from work and they offered gratis). Insurance is now sorted, chain ordered, disc locks dug out of safe place and the garage has been cleared.

So, nice to meet you all, and I can't wait till wednesday to see it arrive.

Congrats..
Use the throttle wisely & Rain mode makes it less aggressive to start with.. (3k miles & just trying Road mode now)

Still waiting! Coopers rang and said the bike can't come till Thursday now (van and driver elsewhere). What's 24hrs after 14 years? Have also ordered some ACF50 on recommendation from the site users.

I should really rename this thread "On the bus, off the bus". Coopers have again rung to ask what I was doing this afternoon, 'cause they're bringing it down today as planned (the van and driver finished earlier than expected). So I will get a spin out this evening and will happily post pics later. Huzzah!
