So here I am sat on my Fatbob, now it feels great upto about 20 mies then it's hitting the small of my back.
Now I know what's causing it.......its the reach to the bars. Of course it's not like I can fit nippy raisers and pullbacks and I really don't want to change the bars unless I really have too.

So.....

If I loosen the four bar clamp bolts and rotate the bars back will it make much of a difference if any?
Do I then need to twist other stuff forward like clutch and brake reservoirs ?

It's not much out I don't think and a small tweak may do it. Just thinking of brake lines as well.

Better go and buy an imperial Allen key set :blast

I"d just suck it and see if I were you.

Loosen the clamp bolts, one on each clamp may be enough. Position the bars where you want them and then retighten.

Then turn the bars full lock side to side and compress the forks to make sure there's no interference or excessive stretching of cables, hoses or wires.

You will probably need to reposition the controls and may need Torx and/or Allen keys to do it.

There are hundreds of different bar types and sizes available so you will find one that suits if you look.

You'd better buy yourself a torque wrench as well if you are going to mess with the bar clamps :eek

Yep, good advice:thumb

On second thoughts, ignore what I said earlier and get someone who knows what they're doing to help out if you're not confident. I wouldn't want to contribute to you fecking it up :D

Is 20 miles really long enough to decide whether the position is unsuitable? Are you a born fiddler? Why not give it longer and see if you adapt to the position.

No it's deffo need a sloght change, I'll go and get some Imp allens later i think.

Sounds like you have a weak back. Lots more sex and a corset for when you're riding should do the job.

Or swap the merkin tractor for something without the feet forward riding position.

Well thats a lot better!
Not perfect but loads more comfy, I don't feel like I'm reaching out for the bars now.

Happy days....... Other than burning both legs on the engine and pipes. :blast
