It's here!

I fitted the front coil to my 100GS like this . . .

With a bracket made from angle iron, like this (you don't need both front bolts :D)

And not only that, but you did it in the middle of a field! :D

Some bright spark will be along to tell you soon ;)

A more down to earth explanation please. I'm trying to be neutral about this. Too much technology and I blow a fuse. Easy to trip over some information or to go round too large a circuit. Maybe I should switch bikes, it's just a phase I'm going through. I've been insulated for far too long

Ok I'll get my coat:)

Sorry guys, but :topic:topic:topic:topic

I really need to know if the standard HT leads will work with the Dyna coil.
So I can order some if I need them!!

I would think they will - try them

BUT it is always good to change the HT leads "every so often" - and especially it they have never been changed - they are not expensive

I prefer the normal BMW HT Black leads with the big rubber caps, (suppressors), I prefer the looks - you do not want any of that fancy brightly coloured stuff on your Bike

Same here - They look far better. They were changed about 1500 miles ago I think, but I think I'll order some more anyways.
Cheers for the advice.

Mine are carbon/silicone purchased from Dyna over 25 years ago & have been flawless. Not sure if you're gonna need top quality cables, however I have found it's one helluva spark.... Dyna advised that I increase my spark gap by 50%. That's on my CBX with the full Dyna S system mind you....

Morning Rob

You don't need any new ones if they are only 1500 miles old.............unless the Bike has been stood somewhere unpleasant for some time

Cheers

Standard leads are fine - the bright yellow leads on my bike were on it when I bought it - with an old standard coil.

I read somewhere (Helpful Hints in a MotoBins catalogue I think) that HT leads should be replaced every three years.

No, I don't either :D.

Bob.
