It's only a key FFS

I collected my new 1200 gs te on 22nd of April, and was told by the dealer, the spare was missing and a new one was on order. Over the next 2 months 2 wrong keys have turned up, nothing like my original key, wont even go in the slot .

Rang the dealers yet again today, only to be told another key is on order. I have already told them I go to Germany on Sunday and need the spare by then (never lost a key before, but sods law if I dont have one).

Collected my new 1200GS TE two weeks ago and was told by the dealer that BMW no longer supply the plastic keys, seemingly you only get (or shoul've got!) two metal keys now. Same when I collected my new 800GT last year.

Yep I was told them same when I asked, as I got one with my previous R1200R.

No point - he's too busy trying to figure out what to do with all the dead RTs and explain to angry customers why they could have a K16 as a replacement, if only they lived in the USA...

My 2014 GSA is also a 'have not', I got told the same story as all the other have-nots. Odd.

Yes I like the plastic key very much it's smaller than the other ones and easy to hide!
