Bikes, they're for riding right?
It gets ridden, probably more than a lot of others, just not once they start gritting the roads.

Bet they will offer you a whole £50 more when you trade it in.
My mate bought a brand new hanns spree cbr600rr in 08 for around £7400, did 3k miles in 2 years, cleaned after every ride, never saw rain, and traded it in for a gs and took 5k for it (the honda dealer offered him £4500.
I got a vfr at the same time for £7250, did 17k miles on it and 3 trips round europe, one of those trips i proposed to the gf. the bike was not battered but certainly not new condition, perhaps got 2hrs cleaning a month in the 2 yrs i had it, traded in at the same dealer for a fraction under 5k.
I agree with an earlier post, bikes are more for riding than cleaning! i certainly got the depreciation on mine back in fun and eating up the miles, not to mention the memories!

Not true. Average mileage for a Harley is 1000-1500 miles a year.

Precisely why my GSA gets cleaned only at BMW when its in for servicing and also gets the odd polish-hand-job in London for a fiver.

You're probably right, but I won't be trading this in for a long time, if ever.
Then worth a little extra attention then to keep it looking fab
if i had 10hrs free to clean the bike... well i wouldn't, the wife would have me doing diy!!!
