Hi guys

I know I know :o We've already done this one and the answers I want are on the site somewhere. Just think of me as inept and humour me

The tyres on my 1200 are getting a bit thin now, just clocked 7000 mls and recon if I keep my head down I'll get a bit more before they are finneshed compleately.
I have Anakees fitted but I hear the torences are just as good :thumb

My question is. How do the Anakees compair to the Torences for milage (mainly around town)? Is a Torence going to give me better than 8000 on the rear as well as the front?

While I have my thinking cap on will TKC's fit with the rear stone guard thingy and standard front mud guard?

Heidenau's

If your thinking of TKC's look at Heidenau's (find the thread in the bargain section )2 rears and a front delivered for £135. MadMountainMan put me on to them, have only heard great reports on them, Superb winter tyres, very popular with the Germans and though the compund is as soft as TKC's they definitely wear better, I have them on my spoked wheels.
Tourances on my alloys but cant see how you can get more than 4000 out of a rear. Have put Anakees on now and dont expect anymore mileage. Feel the Anakees may just have the edge for spirited riding, but not sure yet..

Cheers MatKat. I'll do a search see if I can find anything on the Heidenau's.

Maybe I'm spending too much time in town riding steady. I'm quite impressed with the milage from the rear Anakee but disapointed with the front, would have expected at least 10'000 from a 19" front on any bike.

I got 12k out of my last set of tourances. :thumb

Out of interest - did you buy a seperate set of wire wheels then?

My dealer quoted me over a grand for a set and second hand one's are as rare as hens teeth.

:)

I've got these on spoked wheels too.Great tyre -a bit noisier and more vibration than a Tourance at speed but you'd expect that. Can't beat the price!
