Ok so i stayed away from itunes for ages never liked the whole idea rathered click and droh to mp3 player

Soooooooooo long story short. hard drive dies and lost all music. what i do have is my ipod i raerly use with most the music i wanted still on it.

I opened it up, copied all the music files/folders from the ipod onto a seperate file on my computer.

how do i now import these already itunes in buld rahter than 1 at time when have 8gb of songs

reason is got iphone 4s today and want use it as ipod too(dont as how getting on have go into store go do this then that and then ring load people to activate everything)

i have allth eitunes copied off my ipod onto my laptop.

they are in the seperate folders with the unusual itune 4 letter code assosiated with them

greta all ok, but i want now import/copy them into itunes but will only allow me do it 1 song at a time.

how do i do this for all files 1 time only not each file seperate

even better still, can i transfer everything off my ipod into itunes when connect it. all i see is sync itunes to ipod, can i go reverse

i fooked the computer otu of it, re started and seems be working

You cant or at least are not supposed to copy from Ipod to computer its one way onto the pod.
However download sharepod, its a tiny file that sits on the ipod when you connect the pod to the computer, view it in explorer like you would any removable hard drive and then double click on the sharepod icon and bobs your uncle, copy files both way.

got it sorted. copied the files off ipod then after lot messing with setting i managed import them in as folders so now playing away fine on itunes.

but as i have old itunes it wont allow me connect my new ipod 4s so cant transfer them to iphone

also lot all contacts as new sim was not reconisable in the old phone i had to coy them across
