The other day I updated to iTunes 9.2.0.61 and it seems to have bollixed up the album artwork on my ipod. Some albums have the wrong artwork, some only have artwork attached to a couple of tracks.
I've tried correcting a few but some are proving particularly awkward to correct e.g. Ultimate Thin Lizzy only had artwork on about 3 tracks so I cleared that and than added the artwork to all. It all looked good in itunes but on the ipod the artwork is for a pogues album? SO I got rid of that and now it has a HMHB album cover instead.
Everything was hunky dory before the update.
Anybody got any ideas WTF is going on?

It appears that after the update iTunes connects to the internet and updates all the cover art images. In my case it did it in a few minutes, where normally it takes ages (huge library). So maybe here's where it messed with your content.

Have you tried forcing it to re-download the covers: Advanced > Get Album Covers again?
And/or formatting the iPod and copying again all the files from scratch?

The artwork is still ok on the computer? If so turn sync off for music, sync to wipe music off ipod, and then turn it back on and re-sync to put it all back on.

Not a reply but another technical question....how come some of my artwork won't upload? Also how can I get a compilation album uploaded as 1 album....my Shrek is all over the plac

highlight all tunes on the album, right click on them, choose Info, then either fill in Album Artist as Various, or tick Part of Compilation.


dunno about the album art. perhaps it's in the wrong format. .png instead of .jpg? but seems unlikely. have you tried adding it via the Info Artwork tab?
