Iv got a new bike

Well new to me a 06 GSA in white with all the bits apart from BM panniers which Im looking for.

Cant wait to pick it up on Wednesday and ride it back through the nite from up norf!!

Had a 1200 GS for a while about a year back then sold it for another RT and always promissed myself a 1200 GSA. Hope its the right desision?

Any feed back on what bits I should get much appreciated. Also what are the weak points on GSA? No cheap jokes from the 1150 brigade. I had a 1150 GSA some time back and loved it so I hope this one lives up to my expectations.

seems like the original ally panniers pit quite badly, could be worht looking at alternatives, plenty about

The panniers do pit badly but it`s worth treating them with something to stop the rot as it where. I looked at others when I bought mine but reckoned they looked the best and are a huge improvement on the 1150GSA`s panniers.

I had an 1150GSA and loved it but think the 1200 is a much better bike. It`s got more power, handles really well and just seems a better all round bike IMHO.

Lights are the only thing I would look at improving but the standard spots cope pretty well. Oh, a BOS exhaust system makes a great sound and gives it more go but at a price....!!

It`s a great bike, enjoy it and don`t listen to the 1150 luddites

I noticed the top box on it has tarnished already. Specled and spotty. What is the best way to clean it then treat it.
