Unloaded out of the van tonight... A decently restored and lightly modified 850 T5 in red... Very red... Looks excellent... feels very solid... Sounds spot on with new silencers and cone filters...

Another "starting biking again" feel as its all so different as when I got into GS's after 10+ years of Japanese bikes...

It has been a long buy to delivery time as I usually go down "sooth" and ride back but was too busy this time... Bought blind via pics, the buyer has been excellent as have the 2 delivery agents...

Pics to follow...:D I am now part of the Guzzi gang... One a bit more exclusive than the GS these days...:D

Well done indeed and welcome to the Guzzi gang.

But the welcome may be short lived if photographs do not appear quite soon.

I have a couple of cracking pics but am fighting the software to get the pics smaller and not lose all the detail...:) All my pics posted lately have ended up stupid small...

See your PMs now !!!!

You are well qualified to be a MG owner. Few of them on the MG Owners Club forum can post pictures. I got so annoyed with people posting saying they couldn`t load pics that I posted an idiots guide. Most of them still struggle. I guess it is an age thing:D

I PM'd him with an offer to post them up for him, but I've just realised that

a) he probably doesn't know what a PM is or where to find it and
b) hasn't a clue how to email a pic.

Oh well,I'm sure it's a bag of shite anyway.

Night night.

:rob

Cheers... Rushy also pm'ed just before so I sent some to him...:thumb2

I know how to post pics but they turn out crappy quality at the mo... I have searched for your oft mentioned guide but can't find it... Its the feckin Guzzi effect already...:D Please point my thick heed towards it...:D

Its a 16" front wheel model so that will be wrong... Its the later T5 so will be all square rather than the "roundheads"... It's been modified with T3 clocks, Jap switches and round headlights so will upset the purists... its got panniers and a big feck off rack so will upset the boxophobes... Its got fecking high bars on for fecks sake so will royally piss off the cafeisti... Relatively quiet pipes so will upset the posers... It's bright red all over when it probably should have been a metallic turd brown to suit the year... But fuck it, I like it...:D

And what's more, I fit on it at 6'5", it goes pretty well including the false neutrals and all other character traits...:D And "even" after oilheads and airheads... it feels very solid and "heavy" metal...:thumb

I haven't seen it but I like it already.... If you need any more bastardised bits ive still got loads of T3 stuff.

Big thanks for that... I missed your PM's 'cos I was too busy searching for Mr Shelley's info...:D My pics would have been crappy and small but you have done them justice...!:D

Hey I can post pictures fine!

Had a buzz on it yesterday with the for a "sighter" and it was a good experience...:) It has enough "go" even though I'm not too sure about the cone air filters instead of the airbox... The screen needs to be bigger for lanky twat that is me... The handling was a real revelation... I know Guzzisti don't like the 16" front wheel but this bike tracked inch perfect and handled the smoothish roads a treat... There were a reassuring amount of false neutrals to wade through + one lying neutral light...:D So reassuringly Italian...

All in all a winner so far and it's sooo solid...

The gearboxes make a airhead seem slick,

They work fine if you press fully down or up on the gearchange, they are never slick though!

Not sure about the neutral light, as mine work fine,

Where's the pictures ;)
