I've lost my second thingy

Does anyone else loose the round plastic cover that protects the telelever bearings. I've just lost the brake side one for a second time and I've only had the bike for a couple of months.

So have I. I think this must be a manufacturing problem. Do you think we can claim them on warranty

When you replace them, make sure that you have the large/skinny O-ring that goes with the cover. Or else, you WILL lose the cover.

I've already had one free one because I wasn't sure if it was on the bike when I picked it up. Where does this O ring bit go??

It goes around the cover stub that gets pressed in the hole for the telelever.

Best bet is to go back to the shop and have them bring up the parts page on thei computer and have a look. The parts and tech guy at my shop had no idea there was an O-ring until I pointed it out on the computer. It is really a skinny ring and is easily missed.

I've lost a couple of those & the one from the middle (above the wheel). Cost about 70p to replace. Stuck em in with silicone. Never lost one since.
