Hi everyone be gentle as I'm new to both this site and to G S's. Having ridden a Wing for the last Ten years I've finally seen the Light and come over to the Dark side and loving every minute. As I've just admitted having ridden a wing we had the J& M head sets with a 5 pin plug set, and now having a GSA with an Autocom unit with a 7 pin plug. As the head set are a better quality from J&M does anyone know if it's possible to match up both units::nenau

Hi there, Dont believe it can be done newer systems use 7 pins due inproved comms etc 5 pin on the Radio bike to bike. As you now ride a Balverian tractor its time to convert to 7 pin headsets! If you have a super pro autocom they work very well! :) Good Luck with the bike :thumb have a look if you need any headsets lol www.motorbikeadventures.co.uk

I think it would be worth a call to http://www.autocom.co.uk/ to see if your headsets can be converted, but they are more complicated than they look!

But dont forget you wont be behind a Goldwing's windshield anymore so you'll be getting some wind noise and turbulence!

Those who want the best possible audio quality with Autocom tend to get in ear monitors made up.

Regards

Mike

Thanks for that info as for the turbulence and wind noise I don't find there's much difference
The only reason i wanted to use the J&M head set is they are much better quality Mind you at £175 each they should be
Anyway thanks again for the advice :thumb2

I would guess that the noise-suppression and voice-activation circuitry on the Autocom would be incompatible with the microphone of the J+M headset. You might hate the result.
