On Satuday I had a ride over to Holland, and took Mrs Invicta for the trip. The bike ran well, the Shuttle was almost perfect but... my f*cking Hein Gericke fabric jacket filled up like a balloon. Most uncomfortable!

To release the pressure I had to have the zip down about 8 inches and use the velcro (hate hate hate!) to keep it closed.

This only ever happens with a pillion! It must be something to do with the airflow being affected as it never happens when I am solo........ any ideas or solutions (apart from leaving Mrs at home!)

Tie rope to your ankles then around the bike and fly to Europe for free?

A ha, I'm glad some one else has found this :D
When I first brought my GS in 99 I had a naff Richa jacket that used to do this but, as you say, only with a pillion. It used to blow up so much that it would end up round my arm pits :D:D if the Mrs used to hold it down I felt like I was being lifted off the seat of the bike. The only solution was to get a jacket that fitted tighter round the waist / bottom of the jacket, this seems to stop the wind going up.... strange but true

Strangely, I've never encountered this problem - what about you Andy?....

My old Tuareg jacket does this when there's no lining fitted:( have to resort to using the dorky looking crotch strap:( :(

yep i get that too

but only noticed it recently with the tobinator fitted..

and only when im with a pillion..

i just get herself to tug it down every now and a gain..

... the jacket that is..

cheeky.........

anyways its loose enough at the bottom and catches the wind..

i think its just with the different airflow the tobinator sets up..

i agree with paulg, a tight jacket would solve the problem..

maybe thats the excuse i need to get that nice furygan jacket..

hmmmmmmmmmmmm
