Has anyone done this recently and if so is there some software that you could recommend?

Thanks.

You don't have to jailbreak any more if you are locked to O2. Google unlock iphone O2, fill out their online form, they take £15 from your credit, wait 4-5 days, put a different sim card in, link to your pc, i tunes will say, iphone succesfully unlocked. This is then an official unlock allowing you to update the software regularly. If you jailbreak it and try and update the software, it re-locks the iphone.

True, I have my iphone unlocked via O2, still jailbreak it though, there's just stuff I can do that I can't do with a regular iphone. I originally jailbroke it so I could run it on Vodafone, but the ability to use particular software keeps mine jailbroken.

All depends why you want/need to jailbreak it.

Doesn't seem to support 3.1.3 in the members area even tho the FAQ section says that it does.

There is no JB for 3.1.3 (BB 5.12.01) as yet. There is supposed to be one in the pipeline but they are holding off until iPhone 4 is released. If they issue JB now, Apple will close the exploit... baseband-05-12-01-exploit-discovered
